6/19/2016 8:00 AM 0.06 M M M M We were mostly have-nots in the game of getting hit by a thunderstorm core. Storms developed over Moore and moved south to our west in the 4-6 pm time frame. Then storms moved northwest from Slaughterville passing to our east from 8 to 10 pm.
6/27/2016 8:00 AM 0.82 M M M M Thunderstorms developed to our northwest and then on wither side of us by 6:30 pm as an outflow passed us by from the north. It wasnt till 8:30 that a weak bow moved overhead from the southwest.
6/29/2016 8:00 AM 0.07 M M M M A weak two-celled thunderstorm developed over town and moved south 11 am -12 pm. We got the weaker of the two cells. We were too far east to get the Derecho that crossed the state to our west in the evening.
7/4/2016 8:00 AM 1.29 M M M M An unisually strong upper level system provided for an unusually active severe weather day. We benefited with heavy rain from storms from 7-9 pm.
7/9/2016 8:00 AM 1.89 M M M M A weak trough aloft conspired with continued abnormally high moosture levels to produce thunderstorms just to our south. They might have stayed there but an outflow boundary from the north promoted the storms to move just far enough north to nail us with heavy rain.
7/15/2016 8:00 AM 1.24 M M M M After beong too far west for two thunderstorm complexes and too far east for a third in one day we gor nailed by one that formed oit of a cluster of ACCAS that formed in northwest OK. The storms hit after 1 am with continuois lightning and winds to 40 mph.
7/26/2016 8:00 AM 1.98 M M M M One small isolated storm missed us to our west while it moved south around 6-7 pm. But the front spawned more storms after 8 pm to our north. These grew i to an MCS with an initial roind that glanced is before sliding to our east. However more storms fired up to our north at midnight and nailed us after 1 am with the majority of our rain. The precip cores of these later storms were embedded in a large shield of lighter rain.

8/20/2016 8:00 AM 0.19 M M M M Occasional lightning and thunder accompanied mostly light rain around 2 am.
9/10/2016 8:00 AM 0.46 M M M M A squall line with the season's first strong cold front swept in from the north after midnight. The heaviest cores failed to arrive, however, and we had to settle for anvil rain. Then new cores formed to the south. So again, as typical for the last 40 days, we ended up on the short end of the stick.
9/14/2016 8:00 AM 1.07 M M M M Thunderstorms finally hit Norman for the first time in over 40 days! And also for the first time in nearly as long I received more rain than i expected.
9/16/2016 8:00 AM 0.80 M M M M Two thunderstorms hit, one at 1 pm and a second near 4 pm. The later one dumped the heavieat rain.
9/18/2016 8:00 AM 1.32 M M M M A group of thunderstorms developed just west of Norman by 3:30 pm including one supercell in south Moore. A squall line from the west merged with this group. We received .9" and winds to 40 mph from this batch. Winds and rain were much stronger and deeper to our north. Another squall line with 40 mph winds struck around 2 am.
