12/15/2015 10:00 AM 0.02 M M M M We had some rain/snow/sleet mix last night by 10:30pm. We had 0.02 melted in the gauge this morning. There is a mist in the air that will collect and ice up the windshield at 10:30am this morning. The driveway is a little icy.

The wind is about 15-20mph now with light intermittent snow and blowing snow. Visibility is about one half to one mile with icy conditions under the snow.

1/16/2016 11:00 AM 0.05 0.5 M 3.0 M We had about another half inch of snow overnight leaving 0.05 melted in the gauge this morning. There has been very little melting here so I estimate about 3 inches of snow on the ground. We still have icy driveway from last big snow in December.

7/5/2016 8:00 AM 0.08 M M M M We had lightning in the western sky at 11:00pm last night and I heard thunder about an hour later. Then about 4:00am, we had more thunder and lightning. When I went out at 8:00am, I found 0.08 in the gauge.

We arrived home about 5:30 pm yesterday after driving a few miles in near zero visibility through a snow flurry. There was less than an inch of snow but ground was white for a little while.

I estimate 2.0 inches of snow still on the ground as there has been very little melting of old snow. I measured about an inch of new snow from the Christmas night snow.

I estimate still 2-3 inches of snow on the ground as there has been very little melting. The fog lifted about 10am this morning and we now have sunshine. It was 14 below at 10:30pm last night and 4 below at 8:00am today.

Other days have been dry and warm, (40's) since last report. Most of the snow is gone except for a few deeper places around the yard and where the sun does not get.

It started snowing lightly about 9:00am and after about 15 minutes it snowed hard for about an hour. Then we had snow showers a few times during day. Other days were dry.

It sounded like sleet hitting the windows, but did not see any bounce on the sidewalk. 5/9/2016 5/10/2016 8:00 AM 2 0.75 M M We got up yesterday morning to a damp sidewalk and rain in the air. I did not check the gauge until after it stopped raining during the noon hour. I checked it about 4:pm and we had 0.23. At 5:13 we had dark clouds roll in and a sudden downpour with pea size hail that only lasted about 4 minutes. We then had intermittent rain during the evening and night and I found 0.72 in the gauge this morning. The pea size hail lasted about an hour on the deck.

Monday evening about 6:30pm the wind came up and switched to NW. We had some lightning and heavy rain at about 6:45pm with a few soft white pea size hail. The temp dropped 15 degrees in just a few minutes. The heavy rain only lasted 5 or 10 minutes with another shower coming after that.

We had thunderstorm come through just before 9:00pm last night with very strong wind, (at least 45 to 50mph), but we only had 0.45 in the gauge this morning. I talked to a neighbor to the west who had a trailer tipped over in the wind and about 3/4 inch of rain in his gauge. We also had a rain shower about 7:00am this morning as water was still running off roof and sidewalk was still wet at 8am.

7/6/2016 7/07/2016 8:00 AM 2 0.12 M M Most of this 0.12 fell during morning hours this morning before 8:30 am. At about 9:00am, we had a down pour of rain of 0.59 that came in about 5-7 minutes. That rain will be reported in July 8 report.

7/13/2016 7/17/2016 8:00 AM 5 1.59 M M We had very strong winds with thunder and lightning that started just before 10:00pm last night. Most of the 1.59 we got of rain came in the next 20-30 minutes. I thought I could hear a hail stone hit once in a while, but never saw any. There was a report of the corn leaves stripped just a half mile south of the house, but did not go look at it. By shortly after 11:00pm, the rain had even mostly stopped and the wind let up considerably. I estimate the wind at least 40mph or more the first 10 minutes. We did have a sprinkle of rain earlier during the day yesterday, but the preceding days were dry.
