Yesterday high was 67F and then the storms moved in. 2:10 p.m. a loud clap of thunder then rumbling thunder a little flash of lightning then rumbling thunder for 15 to 20 minutes. The down pour started about 2:25 p.m. steady then a clap of thunder. Sheets of rain out of the west with gusting winds. What a site. This lasted until 3:30 p.m. more rumbling thunder in the south west. Another cell moved in at 4:45 p.m. with rumbling thunder and steady heavy rain with the temperature at 60F it is like a nice spring rain! The last cell passed thru about 8 p.m.

Last night tornado storms raged all around our NE AR area with bright white flashing lightning, very loud booms of thunder, high winds, then the rain came. The rain itself did not last but about 45 minutes about 8:30 to 9:15 p.m. but the rest of the storm raged into the night on into the morning hours. Here at the farm we did not have any damage from the winds and only netted 0.12 in the gauge.

By 10 p.m. the storm rumbled in with flashing bright lightning, rumbling thunder and sometimes very loud clashes of thunder with high winds. Small limbs and green leafy tips of branches were ripped from the surrounding oak trees. Heavy rain arrived about 1 a.m. and went on for over an hour. No damage reported in our area. We were lucky.
