Late afternoon the high clouds from the next cold front started to move in, cloudy overnight and not as cold. A little rain and overcast today, but NWS predicts the main rain band to be in this afternoon and night. |

Yesterday was cool and blustery, with a few light passing showers and then times of bright sunshine. Today started partly cloudy, but it quickly clouded up, as a cold upper low is over the area... forecast is for scattered showers and low (for this time of year) snow levels... possible thunderstorms, though these tend to occur east of us, over the Northern Sacramento Valley, and the Cascade-Sierra ranges. Cold, too,... 20-25 degrees below normal. |

After a long, dry, hot summer, with very sparse rainfall across this region, this morning we have clouds, lightning, and a wetting rain... all leftover moisture from former Tropical Storm Lidia that affected the west coast of Baja and then Southern California last week. A light rain fell overnight, cloudy and cool and calm this morning. For what it is worth, since we joined CoCORaHS in late spring, we judiciously tracked rain and snow fall over the past rain year... today's rain brings our rain year's total, here at Coffee Creek School, to 97.35" |
