Rain began falling around 7:15am, maybe a little earlier. It lasted until sometime after noon. By 12:43, it definitely stopped. 6:32pm, it began to drizzle. At 6:47pm, it began to pour. At 7:02pm, there was an increase in intensity and the rain came down very heavily for 5 min. The rest of the evening went on like that; steady rain with intermittent waves of heavy rain. |

8pm straight up - The first bit of detectable falling moisture was felt, a drop so slight that to call it anything more than precipitation would be an exaggeration.
8:34pm - A second bit of precip, slightly heavier than the first, was felt.
8:35pm - A light drizzle commenced falling. The sound of it hitting a sheet of black plastic laid out on the ground was the unmistakable indication of it.
It stopped a short while later, started up again and stopped, perhaps several times over the next 20 minutes.
8:55pm - Heavier drizzle began falling. It too, stopped, may have restarted, on and off for the rest of the evening, during which the smell of rain was detected.
2:31am - Awake at that hour, the sound of falling rain was first observed. Rain became heavy, accompanied by thunder and lightning close by.

Heavy rain overnight woke up station managers at 11:23pm. Unfortunately, collection funnel left in place may have affected measurement.
