Tstorms started developing off to the west by 1pm associated with the very strong approaching cold front. First tstorm was an isolated one out ahead of the main line that dumped mod-hvy rain for a brief time around 2:30pm. Then it wasn't until after 3pm that additional tstorms arrived. Light-mod rain quickly changed over to voluminous dime size hail which fell for more than 1.5 minutes before changing back to hvy rain. Ground was mostly covered in hail. Frequent dangerous CG lightning strikes were occurring and continued for ~30 minutes as multiple storm cells repeated over the area. Pea size hail did start falling again during the second and third rounds of storms but was interspersed with the rain and much less frequent than during the initial hail core. Winds became quite gusty after passage of the storms and frontal boundary with temps ~25 degrees colder right after and overnight lows barely above freezing, roughly a 45 degree temperature drop from the high Sat.
