Our area did not expect this large of an event and roads were completely iced over by the afternoon--very dangerous day. We may have had some rising temps overnight, but our flat surfaces and even the gravel still has a firm layer of ice and temps are dropping. Light drizzle at obs time and 30 deg. Hard to measure ice with the temp fluctuation and the danger of walking outside.

Doesn't seem to jive with the amt of precip in gauge--but again with blowing it around? Open areas are just a trace, so my best guess/estimate on new snow is .1, though we probably recv'd a bit more than that.. this was a tough one!
