Two 3" branches snapped off of a Chinese elm that had started to leaf out. The ground was warm so the early snow partially melted on bare ground. It was deepest, 9-11", on unmowed grass. There was not much wind. It is continuing to snow after 7:00am, possibly at a higher rate. The newest snow is fluffier and so is apparently adding depth faster.
