Current conditions for 10/11-from mostly cloudy (scattered Altocumulus) earlier this morning to mostly clear {scattered Cumulus to the East and South}, no precipitation since the rain event mentioned above, haze status: light to moderate, air movement is from the WNW at 6 mph, then out of the North to 3 mph, wind gust 5 mph, humidity 53%, dew point 32° {yesterday, the readings were 73% and 42° respectively}, current snow level is near 5500' rising to 6500' later this afternoon, observation time temperature was 35°, and the barometric pressure 30.29" and rising. Yesterday afternoon the BP was 30.02" and rising as of 4:40 PM.
10/12/2016 7:30 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 10/12-from mostly clear skies earlier this morning (a lengthy band of Cirrus and Cirrostratus extending from the West to the SE) to partly cloudy (scattered Cirrus, Cirrostratus, and several Contrails), no precipitation in the last 24 {although there was light condensation on the gauge and a thin veneer of frost/ice around the funnel}, air movement is out of the West to 6 mph, then from the NE at 2 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 59%, dew point 31°, current freezing level is near 9500' [yesterday, the snow level was near 6500'], observation time temperature was 28°. Now even though this reading was 11° BELOW the normal low of 39°, it was only 2° from tying the record low of 26° on this date way back in 1986!! Yesterday late afternoon, the BP was 30.23" and rising as of 5:10 PM.
10/13/2016 7:30 AM 0.12 M M M M The amount shown is what has been received so far. 10/21/2016 7:30 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Yesterday, it was mentioned that 0.20" had fallen and that is was still raining. Well, shortly after this "info" had been typed, the rain stopped but not before an additional 0.02" was recorded for a grand total of 0.22". Current conditions for 10/21-overcast (Cirrus, Cirrostratus, scattered Cumulus plus a Contrail), what was thought to be rain during the overnight {because the street was wet), turned out to be a heavy condensation because no precipitation was recorded in the gauge. Haze status: moderate, light air movement is from the West to 1 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 96%, dew point 43°, current snow level is near 5000' [yesterday, it was near 7500'], observation time temperature was 38°, and the barometric pressure 30.05" and falling.

Yesterday afternoon, the BP was 29.83" and falling as of 4:30 PM.
10/29/2016 7:35 AM 0.22 M M M M
10/30/2016 7:40 AM 0.03 M M M M Current conditions for 10/30-a dreary overcast along with scattered fog, haze status is moderate to bad, and little or no air movement is not helping the situation even though it is out of the West at 4 mph, wind gust 1 mph, humidity 95%, dew point 46°, current snow level is near 6000', observation time temperature was 43°, and the barometric pressure 29.91" and falling. Yesterday late afternoon, the BP was 29.98" and rising as of 4:45 PM.
10/31/2016 7:35 AM 0.08 M M M M Current conditions for 10/31-from low clouds, fog and light drizzle to overcast with some partial clearing toward the SW, haze status is moderate to bad due to light air movement which is currently out of the South at 1-3 mph, wind gust 3 mph, humidity 100%, dew point 46°, current snow level is near 5000' [yesterday, it was near 6000'], observation time temperature was 41°, and the barometric pressure 29.67" and falling. Yesterday afternoon the BP was 29.65" and falling as of 4:55 PM.
11/1/2016 7:35 AM 0.02 M M M M Current conditions for 11/01-from mostly cloudy at observation time, to partly cloudy (scattered Altocumulus and Cumulus), haze status continues moderate to bad due to-as mentioned yesterday-little or no air movement (and today is no exception), wind gust 2 mph, humidity 78% {yesterday, the reading was 100%}, dew point 43°, current snow level is near 4500', observation time temperature was 39°, and the barometric pressure 29.83" and rising. Here are some interesting stats for OCT- 1) total rainfall: 2.11" or about 431% of average which resulted in a surplus of 6.23" at this site anyway, 2) number of days without precipitation: 18, 3) high BP: 30.32" on 10/19, 4) low BP: 29.41" on 10/14, 5) date with low BP and no precipitation: 29.41" on 10/14, 6) date with high BP and precipitation: 30.04" on 10/20 (0.22), 7) average BP: 29.91", 7a) average afternoon or late afternoon BP: 28.97", 8) average morning temperature-a) official minimum: 41°, b) digital: 44.7°, c) normal low: 38.2°, 9) low morning temperature-a) official minimum: 28° on 10/12, b) digital: 31.1°, 10) high morning temperature-a) official maximum: 48° on 10/07 & 10/09, b) digital: 51.6° on 10/07 & 51.8° on 10/09, 11) average afternoon temperature-a) official maximum: 60.4°,b) digital: 58.4°, c) normal high: 62.4°, 12) low afternoon temperatures-a) official minimum: 48° on 10/13 & 10/30, b) digital: 48.4° on 10/13, and 48.2° on 10/30, and `13) high afternoon temperature-a) official maximum: 71° on 10/01, 10/02, 10/04 & 10/07, b) digital: 66.7° on 10/01, 67.6° on 10/02, 66.7° on 10/04, and 66.4° on 10/07.
11/2/2016 7:40 AM T M M M M Current conditions for 11/02-overcast, "clouds" to the SE appear somewhat threatening in appearance though there is some partial clearing to the South and West, no measurable precipitation in the last 24 (other than a few drops in the funnel), haze status continues moderate to bad, light air movement is out of the East at 3 mph, then from the NE to 1 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 79%, dew point 44°, current snow level is near 7000' [yesterday, it was near 4500'], observation time temperature was 44°, and the barometric pressure 30.09" and rising.
11/3/2016 7:40 AM T M M M M
11/4/2016 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/04-mostly cloudy (scattered Cirrus, denser Cirrus, and Cirrostratus), no precipitation in the last 24 although there was heavy condensation on the gauge at observation time, haze status continues moderate to bad, light air movement is from the West at 5 mph, then out of the North to 3 mph, wind gust 6 mph, humidity 76% (yesterday, it was 86%), dew point 42°, current freezing level is near 10,500' [yesterday, it was near 6500'], observation time temperature was 35°, and the barometric pressure 30.22" and falling.
11/5/2016 7:40 AM T M M M M Current conditions for 11/05-overcast with intermittent light showers {however, this trend is likely to change to a more steady rain as the day wears on} and an occasional sun break, the haze status is bad, light air movement is out of the ENE to 3 mph, then from the NE at 2 mph, wind gust 3 mph, humidity 89% (yesterday, the reading was 76%), dew point 45°, current snow level is near 8000' [yesterday, it was near 10,500'], observation time temperature was 40°, and the barometric pressure 29.99" and falling.
11/6/2016 7:00 AM 0.17 M M M M
11/7/2016 7:00 AM T M M M M Current conditions for 11/07-mostly cloudy (scattered Cirrus, Cirrostratus and almond shaped Altocumulus), the haze continues moderate to bad, because of high pressure over the area which, in turn, is responsible for the light air movement that is presently out of the West at 1 mph, then from the North also at 1 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 88%, dew point 44°, current snow level is near 8500' [yesterday, it was near 5000'], observation time temperature was 41°, and the barometric pressure 30.21" and rising.
11/8/2016 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/08-clear skies, no precipitation in the last 24, moderate condensation was observed on the gauge at observation time, haze status is moderate, light air movement is out of the WNW to 5 mph, then from the NE at 2 mph, wind gust 5 mph, humidity 76% (yesterday, the reading was 88%), dew point 43°, current freezing level is near 12,500' [yesterday, the snow level was near 8500'], observation time temperature was 36°, and the barometric pressure 30.22" and rising. It appears that this "mild" weather will continue through the rest of the work week and possibly into the weekend before returning to normal highs for the second half of the month. In addition, record highs for the next few days are likely to be threatened in this area anyway {60° is the record high on this date way back in 1990!}.
11/9/2016 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/09-from overcast skies observed during observation time (scattered mid and high level clouds) to partly cloudy (scattered Cumulus), no precipitation in the last 24, haze status continues to be moderate, light air movement is first from the WSW to 1 mph, then out of the East at 2 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 78%, dew point 44°, current snow level is near 8000' [yesterday, the freezing level was near 12,500'], observation time temperature was 37°, and the barometric pressure 30.14" and falling. By way of interest, yesterday's high of 63° was not only 13° above the normal high of 50° but was also 3° above the record high of 60° on this date way back in 1990!!
11/10/2016 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/10-overcast, no precipitation in the past 24 although, once again, the gauge was "encased" with moderate condensation, haze status continues moderate to bad, light air movement is from the West to 3 mph, then out of the South at 1 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 88% [yesterday, the reading was 78%], dew point 46°, current freezing level is near 11,000' (yesterday, the snow level was near 8000'), observation time temperature was 42°, and the barometric pressure 30.28" and rising. Although yesterday's high of 63° was not close to the record high of 70°, it was 14° above the normal high of 49°. The "warm" weather for this time of year is likely to persist into the weekend before cooler weather arrives early next week and will be reflected by the freezing level as it should drop below pass level.
11/11/2016 7:05 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/11-overcast, no precipitation in the past 24, the haze is bad, light air movement is from the NE at 2 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 72% (yesterday, the reading was 88%), dew point 48°, current freezing level is near 10,500', and the barometric pressure 30.08" and falling. Now even though yesterday's high of 60° fell short of the record high by ten degrees, it still was 11° above the normal high of 49°.
11/13/2016 7:05 AM T M M M M The amount shown was recorded yesterday at some point during the overnight. Current conditions for 11/13-overcast with light intermittent showers, haze status is light to moderate after yesterday's wind came through the area; however, since then, light air movement is out of the WNW at 2 mph, wind gust also 2 mph, humidity 75%, dew point 40° {yesterday, the readings were 92% and 47° respectively}, current snow level is near 6000', observation time temperature was 41°, and the barometric pressure 30.12" and rising. The cooler air that was forecast for the area appears to be serious because by early next week (Tuesday) and persisting at least through the end of the work week, the freezing level should drop below pass level [approximately 2000'-3000'].
11/14/2016 7:05 AM 0.02 M M M M Current conditions for 11/14-from overcast skies along with a misty drizzle earlier this morning at observation time, to mostly clear skies (scattered Cumulus near the Southern and Western horizon), haze status is light to moderate, light air movement is from the WSW at 6 mph, then out of the South to 3 mph, humidity 77%, dew point 43°, current snow level is near 5500' lowering to 4500' later this afternoon, observation time temperature was 39°, and the barometric pressure 29.94" and falling.
11/15/2016 7:08 AM 0.15 M M M M Current conditions for 11/15-from overcast skies along with light precipitation at observation time to mostly clear skies (except for some Cumulus clouds near the Northern, Northeastern, and West to Southwestern horizon), the haze is light {a big improvement from the last several days}, air movement is from the West at 8 mph, then out of the SE to 5 mph, wind gust 9 mph, humidity 79%, dew point 43°, current snow level is near 5000', observation time temperature was 41°, and the barometric pressure 29.73" and falling.
11/16/2016 7:10 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/16-partly cloudy (scattered Cirrus and Cirrostratus), no precipitation in the past 24, the haze is light, air movement is from the NW at 9 mph, then out of the North to 6 mph, wind gust 8 mph, humidity 49%, dew point 31° {yesterday, the readings were 79% and 43° respectively}, current snow level is near 3000' [yesterday, it was near 5000'], observation time temperature was 36°, and the barometric pressure 29.89" and rising. Interestingly on the day before yesterday, the high of 62° was 16° above the normal high of 46° and 4° above the record high on that date way back in 1953!!; however, yesterday the high was also 62° was also 16° above the normal high of 46° and 3° above the record high of 59° on that date back in '75!!!.
11/17/2016 7:05 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/17-partly cloudy, no precipitation in the last 24, haze status:moderate, light air movement is from the West at 1 mph, then out of the South to 1 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 76%, dew point 32° [yesterday, the reading was 43°], current snow level is near 3000', observation time temperature was 27°, and hence, the gauge was encased in a thin veneer of frost, and the barometric pressure 30.13" and rising.

11/19/2016 7:10 AM T M M M M Current conditions for 11/19-overcast (although there is now some partial clearing toward the East), snow was observed on the higher ridges and peaks around the valley, the haze continues moderate to bad, once again, light air movement is from the NNW at 1 mph, then out of the NE also at 1 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 86% {yesterday, the reading was 69%}, dew point 36°, current snow level is near 4500' [yesterday, it was near 3500'], observation time temperature was 36°, and the barometric pressure 29.87" and falling.
11/21/2016 7:15 AM 0.02 M M M M Current conditions for 11/21-low clouds and fog, the haze continues moderate to bad, light air movement is out of the SW to 1 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 93% (yesterday, the reading was 82%), dew point 38°, current snow level is near 3500' [yesterday, it was near 4500'], observation time temperature was 33° {by contrast yesterday's high was 49°}, and the barometric pressure 29.90" and falling.
11/22/2016 7:20 AM T M M M M Current conditions for 11/22-interestingly, it is cloudy above the low clouds and fog, the haze continues to be moderate as air movement is very light coming first from the ESE to 3 mph, then out of the South at 2 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 82% [yesterday, the reading was 93%], dew point 35°, current snow level is near 3500', observation time temperature was 36° {yesterday's high was only 49°} and the barometric pressure 30.13" and rising.
11/23/2016 7:20 AM 0.06 M M M M Current conditions for 11/23-from mostly overcast skies along with light drizzle earlier this morning at observation time to partly cloudy (scattered Cumulus with the largest band toward the South), the haze continues moderate to bad as, once again, there is little or no air movement; however, what there is comes from the West to 3 mph, wind gust 2 mph, humidity 97% {yesterday, the reading was 82%}, dew point 36°, current snow level is near 3000' {there are indications that this level may drop even lower by this weekend and persist into early next week}, observation time temperature was 33° [yesterday's high was only 43°], and the barometric pressure was 29.87" and falling.
11/24/2016 7:20 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/24-overcast and somewhat threatening along with some air movement. It is first from the ENE at 4 mph, then out of the NW to 1 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 59% (yesterday, the reading was 97%), and, believe it or not, I took a double take because of the wide difference in these "percentages" between yesterday and this morning, dew point 33°, current snow level is near 3000', observation time temperature was 42° and the barometric pressure 30.01" and rising. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
11/25/2016 7:25 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 11/25-overcast (except for a small area of partial clearing toward the NW), no precipitation in the last 24, the haze is light to moderate, air movement is from the WNW to 4 mph, then out of the SE at 2 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 71% {yesterday, the reading was 59%}, dew point 36°, current snow level is near 3500', observation time temperature was 40° [yesterday's high was 51°], barometric pressure was 29.90" and rising. By way of interest, there has been some speculation about the Southern jet stream merging with the Northern jet stream and, if this happens, would cause very windy conditions in southern CA.

1/24/2017 7:30 AM 0.00 0.0 0.00 3.0 0.98 The amount shown in the "total snow and ice" section below, is the result of of a sample taken yesterday afternoon. It is believed that these sample results will vary as a large portion of the yard is in sunlight most of the day. Current conditions for 01/24-mostly overcast (altocumulus), no precipitation in the last 24, the haze is light to moderate as light air movement is from the West to 4 mph, wind gust is calm, humidity 93%, dew point 20° {yesterday, it was 29°}, current freezing level is near 2500', observation time temperature was 17° (yesterday's high was 42°), {by way of contrast, yesterday's observation time temperature was 28°}, and the barometric pressure 30.05" and rising.

Current conditions for 01/26-a low cloud ceiling and fog; however, above the "deck" the sky is mostly cloudy, the haze is bad due to high pressure over the area and hence, air movement is calm for the time being, humidity 85%, dew point 29° {yesterday, the readings were 75% and 24° respectively}, current snow level is near 3000' [yesterday, it was near 1000'], observation time temperature was 27° (yesterday's high was 35°), and the barometric pressure 30.44" and rising.
1/27/2017 7:30 AM 0.00 0.0 0.00 3.0 0.98 Current conditions for 01/27-overcast (a low cloud ceiling along with fog), no precipitation in the last 24, the haze is moderate to bad due to strong high pressure over the area that is expected to persist through the weekend and, with warmer air aloft, colder air {in this area} is trapped near the surface (an inversion) which results in air stagnation and little or no air movement. As a case in point, light air movement here is first from the West to 1 mph, then out of the NE at 2 mph, wind gust 3 mph, humidity 86%, dew point 30°, current freezing level is near 4000' rising to 5000' later this afternoon, observation time temperature was 29° [yesterday's high was 42°], and the barometric pressure 30.71" and rising.

9/18/2017 7:00 AM T M M M M Although the precipitation event in this area was in the form of brief sprinkles, it was effective enough to bring to an end the 93 days with only two days of measurable precipitation. There are however, indications for more precipitation to commence by sometime tomorrow evening through the following morning. Current conditions for 09/18-partly cloudy (scattered Altocumulus and Cumulus), no precipitation during the overnight, the haze is light, air movement is from the NW at 4-8 mph, wind gust 11 mph, humidity 42%, dew point 37°, current snow level is near 5500' (by way of another interesting stat, although 2-6 inches of SNOW are expected tonight into tomorrow on Snoqualmie Pass, by the weekend the freezing level is likely to be near 10,000'), [yesterday, it was near 8000'], observation time temperature was 53° (yesterday's high was 71°), and the barometric pressure 29.73" and falling.
9/19/2017 7:00 AM 0.02 M M M M Current conditions for 09/19-mostly overcast (scattered Cirrus, denser Cirrus, Altostratus and Cumulus), the haze is light, air movement is almost nil as it is from the NW to 4 mph, wind gust 0, humidity 66%, dew point 44° {yesterday, the readings were 42% and 37° respectively}, current snow level is near 4500' [yesterday, it was near 5500'], observation time temperature was 49° (yesterday's high was 70°), and the barometric pressure 29.71" and falling.
9/20/2017 7:05 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 09/20-mostly overcast (Altostratus- dominant variety-and scattered Cumulus) except for partial clearing from the NW toward the NE, no precipitation in the last 24, the haze is light, air movement is from the NW at 6 mph, then out of the SE to 3 mph, wind gust 5 mph, humidity 60%, dew point 37°, current snow level is near 4500', observation time temperature was 43° {yesterday's high was 66°} and the barometric pressure 29.64" and falling. Although though this area is enduring cool weather, and another 1-3 inches of SNOW is expected at Stevens pass, a taste of summer is likely for the area by the end of the work week through the weekend as highs are likely to be in the upper 70's to low 80'!
9/21/2017 7:00 AM T M M M M The amount shown was recorded during the late afternoon. Current conditions for 09/21-overcast (Altostratus and scattered Cumulus), no precipitation during the overnight, the haze is light, air movement is almost calm as what little there is comes out of the NNE to 5 mph, wind gust 0, humidity 62%, dew point 40°, current snow level is near 5000', observation time temperature was 50° {yesterday's high was 65°}, and the barometric pressure 29.85" and rising. Yesterday, it was mentioned that warmer temperatures would be realized by tomorrow through the weekend; however, this is likely not going to happen as "they" are now forecast to arrive in this area by early next week.

9/26/2017 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 09/26-clear skies except for some scattered Cirrus to the South, no precipitation in the past 24, the haze is light, air movement is from the WNW at 6 mph, then out of the SE to 3 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 54% (yesterday, the reading was 70%), dew point 46°, current freezing level is near 12,000' {yesterday, the snow level was near 8500'}, observation time temperature was 48° [yesterday's high was 75°] and the barometric pressure 30.18" and rising.
9/27/2017 6:55 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 09/27-partly cloudy (widely scattered Cirrus most of which extend from the NE to the East), there has been no precipitation in the last 24, the haze is light, air movement is from the WNW at 1 mph, then out of the East to 1 mph, wind gust 4 mph, humidity 53%, dew point 45°, current freezing level is near 13,500' {yesterday, it was near 12,000'}, observation time temperature was 48° [yesterday's high was 81°-even though that high was 8° above the normal high of 73°, it was well short of tying the record high of 89° on that date way back in 1967!!], and the barometric pressure 30.23" and rising.
9/28/2017 6:55 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Current conditions for 09/28-clear skies, no precipitation in the past 24, the haze/smoke is hovering between light and moderate as air movement is almost nil; however, what little movement there is comes from the West to 3 mph, then out of the South at 2 mph, wind gust 5 mph, humidity 49%, dew point 44° current freezing level is near 13,500', observation time temperature was 47° {yesterday's high was 84°}, and the barometric pressure 30.14" and falling. There are indications of much cooler air spilling/flowing into this area after today as a result of a cold front passing over the area which will likely generate windy conditions. The highs tomorrow should be in the low to mid 70's then drop into the low to mid 60's through the weekend into early next week.
