Some low areas around our house had not completely dried out/absorbed water from the Sept. & Oct. rains ~ now our "lakes" (as the family calls them) have lots of standing water again! Ugh!

My basement's Sump Pump has been cycling since about 05300 ~ which it has done only a handful of times since house was built in 1999. Water in one corner of the basement: I suspect it followed the pipe from well head and through the basement's wall. NOT good; RARE occurrence. Much lightning and thunder. Low areas of my yard have record water level of standing water. Roadside ditches are holding much water this morning!

6/18/2017 6/19/2017 6:00 AM 2 2.23 M M All the water in this catch came from a strong storm that passed over Rock County on Saturday night, June 17th. Roadside ditches were swamped (we live in semi-rural, north-central Rock County, just northwest of Janesville). Low areas in my yard, including two glacial kettles are "lakes" ~ both stand at the highest level we've experienced since moving here in March 1999. Soil could not keep up with the rainfall, with our sump pump kicking in for only the fifth time since March 1999! Some water intrusion in basement...I suspect it followed pipe from the well and through basement wall.
