12/21/2017 8:00 AM T T T T T By 6:30 am, heavy fog with visibility less than 100 yards and freezing drizzle had flocked the north side of everything, but coverage on the ground was not complete. Thunder snow from the Kiowa area to the north about 5:00 pm. About 10 minutes of graupel/sleet from about 5:20 to 5:30. Some melting occurred during the early part of the precipitation, the graupel on the snow board when measured was laying on ice that was not recoverable. In gauge was 2.7" of snow when leveled but not compacted, which melted to 0.3". On snow board was 2.2" neglecting the ice, which melted to 0.24". Snow ended sometime during the night.

Snowing before about 7:00 am with a heavier band passing through between about 7:10 am and 7:30 am with an accumulation of about 0.3" on raised surfaces. Melting occurring on ground. Gauge held some ice from the earlier rains that was not recoverable on the new snow measurements and probably is the cause of the lower melt values.
4/25/2018 8:00 AM 0.19 1.5 0.16 M M First flurries about 1:35 pm, Snow from about 2:35 pm to about 3:00 pm, with no accumulation from either due to melting. Snow from 4:45 pm to about 8:00 with accumulation but much melting and freezing. Light, brief flurries around 9:00 pm but over by 9:30 and storm ended thereafter. Gauge held about 2.4" of leveled but uncompacted snow and some ice in bottom, all of which melted to 0.19". Raised surface new snowfall measured 1.5" of snow which melted to about 0.16", but ice on surface was not recoverable.

5/14/2018 8:00 AM 0.07 M M M M Two brief light sprinkles at about 5:50 pm and about 7:00 pm wet the deck but didn't seem to amount to much. A fourth night of fog set in by 11:00 pm until before 4:30 am. There may have been more showers during the night to account for the total precipitation in the gauge.
5/15/2018 8:00 AM 0.08 M M M M A few sprinkles at about 3:25 pm, followed by bigger drops at about 3:40 which became an actual rain ending about 4:00 pm. I counted 12 pieces of rice to pea sized, soft, white hail in an 8' x 10' area of the deck that fell near the end of the rain. This storm put over 0.07" of water in the gauge. 6/13/2018 8:00 AM 0.10 M M M M A trace of rain between about 5 and 6 pm last night. A "severe" thunderstorm approached about 12:45 am with nearly continuous lightning.
