12/13/2017 7:00 AM M 7.5 M 10.0 M Lake snow warning continues until 7 pm today. NW winds brought LE snow all night. Lake Huron connection provided for moderate to heavy snow.
12/14/2017 7:00 AM M 3.0 M 12.0 M Alberta clipper on the heals of a significant LE bringing a Winter Weather Advisory to the 3 southern tier counties.
12/16/2017 7:00 AM M 7.0 M 16.0 M Lake effect snow warning from 7 pm yesterday until 4 pm today for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. W winds brought heaviest squalls from 7 pm-midnight with lighter, persistent snow throughout the night. With a thick blanket of snow on the ground, the deer are beginning to visit shrubs along the house.
12/17/2017 7:00 AM M 3.5 M 18.0 M LE snow continued throughout the am yesterday with additional synoptic snow provided from late am through the rest of the day courtesy of overriding moisture from a warm front. With over 2' of snow in the past week, for the first time I had to clear snow off the roof satellite dish. Had to use snowshoes while hunting snow is so deep in the fields and woods.
12/24/2017 7:30 AM M 4.0 M 3.0 M Synoptic system moving from the south brought primarily rain which transitioned to a short period of freezing rain and then wet snow on its backside. Another synoptic system is forecast to bring 4-6" tonight (Christmas Eve) followed by significant mesoscale LE through midweek.

1/6/2018 7:30 AM M 3.0 M 16.0 M Light but steady, consistent LE snow courtesy of a Lake Huron connection all night on a W-NW flow. Because of the extremely low temps (0-5 F), the snow was very fine - poor dendritic growth.
