Visibility was down to 1/2 mile in smoke yesterday afternoon...smoke came from that big butte co fire..people burning their fireplaces last night didnt help matters any. Low was 32F this AM coldest thus far this season.
11/22/2018 7:00 AM 0.87 M M M M .80" fell before midnite. .07" fell after midnite. Cloudy, not raining at time of obs. This was the first rain in over a month, second storm that brought measuable rain in 6 months. Season total now stands at 1.08".

Got some shower activity later in the afternoon and into the night, with thunder a little past 6pm (strike was over the arden arcade area). The great majaority of the rain total fell from the cell associated with the thunderstorm which it started raining hard shortly after hearing the thunder.

At 5pm it was down to 94F and cooling at ex apt (SAC) but at the other side of town were we are it was 103F here, and still warming, in fact, it warmed to 104 later during the 5pm hour before the delta sea breeze reached us later with the sudden jump in dew points and cooler breeze.

It ended during the 8pm hour I believe. At the start of it there was a BIG gust of wind (maybe 30 or 40mph out of the north or nw, sly previously I believe). By contrast only a trace of rain fell in south sacramento. There was a tornado 15 miles west of here (just north of Davis)
