12/6/2018 11:59 PM 1.59 M M M M (Thursday)Mid to upper 60's; some rain overnite but morning was mainly cloudy with a few sunbreaks; clouds increased and more rain started about 2:30pm local; rain continued most of the afternoon and into the evening with even some thunderstorms between 1715 and 1900 local; some periods of heavy rain also even into late evening; all precip activity seemed to end close to obs time; two periods of heavy precip were between 1700 and 1800 local during most of the thunderstorm action when .48" fell and again between 2105 and 2135 local when .33" fell; other rain gauge readings taken throughout the day were as follows (all times local): 10:00- .14"; 1700- .21"; 1800- .69"; 1900- 1.02"; 2000-1.06"; 2100- 1.22"; and 2200- 1.58"; this two day rain total ended up at 2.15" (plus what little may fall overnite tonite, if any); today's storm total was the most one day precip received since January 9th of this year when 2.04" fell on that date; fair weather and some warming with some offshore flow forecast to return tomorrow and into the weekend and early next week should give a good amount of time to dry out; max temps today were 2-4 degrees warmer than yesterday's levels
