At this point, the snow cover was down to a healthy trace (just under 50%) with snow up to 4" deep on north-facing surfaces. By 1am MDT, we had received a total of 0.31/3.0", and the snow was falling at a rate close to 1"/h, also becoming much fluffier than before. By 7:15am, another 5.5" of snow had fallen, out of 0.19" of moisture. I doubt that we will get much above the midnight reading during the day today. Still snowing at a decent clip (>0.5"/h) this morning, so it looks like we have a good chance ending up with our second foot of the week... |

This was the 3rd "one-footer" (in three days or less) of the season, setting a record for the earliest such occurrence (by two days). |

This rain fell around 6pm. FWIW, we got missed by a big one in mid-afternoon when a wunderground station just a mile or two to the north reported 1.59" in 5 minutes (2.67" overall). I would normally dismiss such reports (especially at 8.5K elevation, but did notice some serious wash-outs onto the canyon both below and above Jamestown, so there was definitely something big (too bad the Riverside (or was it Raymond?) observer is not reporting anymore).
