At 8:30am it was 41 degrees and dark outside, and fog. At 2pm the clouds are now above the mountains, almost touching them, but not brighter outside. A cold day. At 5:30pm it was 52 degrees and sunny with light blue skies. There was a trace of water in the gauge, but I dont know if it was just from so much moisture in the air or rain overnight. Next morning brighter outside and calm. |

9:30am it was 44 degrees. Overcast. At 1:10pm it rain for a little bit. At 1:20pm lots of thunder for a short time. At 2:30pm I noticed it was sunny and blue sky. I had .06 in the gauge. The weather forecasters did not predict the wind, and said it would be colder than it actually was. The wind was warm! At 3pm approx. it was windy in the 20-30mph range. Next morning sunny and warmer than it was predicted. Another .01 was in the gauge in the morning. |

Beautiful morning, pleasant temperatures and sunny. During early afternoon it got progressively more windy (gusts). At about 5pm it started to sprinkle a little, on and off. I was outside almost all day. In evening (some time betw 9pm and 10pm?) I saw it was raining -- I saw it in the light "beam" I had turned on, lots but fine droplets. Next morning it was wet outside and fog hiding mountains. At 8:30am it was 38 degrees and overcast. |

At 8:30am it was 38 degrees and overcast; fog on mountains, hiding them from view 1/2 - 1 mile away; cant see them. About 1pm they had lifted and were just covering the peaks. About 4pm it sprinkled a little on and off for rest of afternoon. About .01 during day; and after dark .03 accumulated. I was outside for most of afternoon and did not see it rain. |

At 9-9:30am it was 35 degrees and overcast. At 11:45am the deck was wet. At 2:30pm still wet; no noticeable rain fall. At about 2:30-2:50pm snow began - I had to look hard at it, as it looked like "fat white rain drops"! The gauge had .04 water in it; I then left it open to catch the snow; it was 35 degrees. At 4:30pm I looked outside again and it was not rain nor snow; wet puddles on the deck and tiny balls of snow; 35 degrees. At 7pm I looked out and it had all stopped, and there was 1/4 inch of snow accumulated. At 9:15pm I checked and there was a new very light layer of snow that I could hardly measure, but did cover the (cleaned) whole surface. At 11pm, nothing new happening outside. Next morning at 9am the snow had melted on my deck into puddles, but still clung to the tree branches and needles; 32 degrees and .14 in melted snow/water. |

There was heavy fog in morning, so I couldnt see the mountains, and in early afternoon it got so bad that I could hardly see 50 feet in front of me. It mostly dissipated later in the day. The little bit of snow from yesterday was melted by midday. I noticed snow at 12:30am - .03 in gauge and barely measurable in inches. At 9am it was 29 degrees and snowing lightly. There was 1-1/4 inches of snow; and .22 in the gauge. There was crunch ice on the bottom of the snow, on the ground, on car and in gauge. It was overcast. |

Lightly snowing most of day. By evening it had stopped. The heaviest seemed to be approx. 9/10am to 3/4pm. At about 3:30pm there was approx. 3-3/4" of new snow; next morning it measured 4-1/4". It was thick but I could sweep it off the deck; except for some of the mushy ice on the bottom. At midnight it was 29 degrees. Next morning at 9:30am it was 32 degrees (same description of snow); thick clouds covered the sky, but it was bright out; no snow, rain or wind. |

9:30am it was 32 degrees; clouds but bright outside. Heard clumps of snow fall off the trees and roof all day. At 4:30pm only 3" left; and 38 degrees. At 6:30pm it was 39 degrees (still light outside). At 9:30am next morning, still 2-1/4 inches left. Most of the snow on the ground was pockmarked by the falling snow from the trees. Fog covering mountains a mile away, and even down the street about 300 ft away, but could see them thru the fog. I think it was the melting snow rising in the air. |

At 9am it was sunny and 42 degrees. A pleasant day, around 60, and I did some outdoor winterizing. At midnight it was 28 degrees, and approximately 3 inches of snow. Next morning at 8:30am it was 18 degrees and lightly snowing. At 9am there was 6.5 inches of snow; but Other locals on facebook say they got mostly 9-10 inches. This is unusual-- I usually have more snow and rain than other people. Cloudy sky. Oddly, the snow in the gauge was 9" deep. Also there was a very thin layer of icy snow at the bottom of the gauge and on the deck. It is very light snow and I was able to easily sweep it off the deck; almost flew into the air like "fairy dust" (sorry for the unscientific word). |

I did not remember that it was going to snow; I confused my dates and thought it was Saturday which was suppose to be warm. So, I didnt go outside till 10:45am, so this is probably considered a late report. It was light and fluffy, and I felt like I could just blow the snow off my deck.(but I used a broom). It was bright outside and 22 degrees. It was still snowing lightly. There was no melting going on. |

In morning there was 7.5 inches of snow on the ground. It snowed lightly all day and accumulated 3 more inches by 6pm; when it was not snowing. At 10:45am it was 22 degrees. Sunny day. Snow slowly starting to melt and settle; deck is wet, but still some snow on it. at midnight 12:30am it was 21 degrees, and went to 36 degrees at 9:45am and sunny. The sky had rain clouds in it for most of the day; seemed like 20% in the NW corner in the morning, and 80% by the end of the day. But never rained or snowed. Overnight some strong wind gusts about 2am, then 3am, and 3:15am, and I put ear plugs in after that. It was strong enough to move lawn furniture. Next morning blue skies, and wind, maybe in the 10 to 20mph range. It reached maybe 50 degrees. Still about 80% snow coverage. Whole gravel driveway still snow covered. Only ground close to the house is it melted to the ground. |

Strong wind all day, gusts in the 30-40mph range. I left my home at about 2:30pm and it was still blowing. When I got back at 5ish, it seemed to have calmed down; and almost no wind thru the evening. At 9:30am it was 45 degrees and sunny. At 11am it slowed down a bit, with fewer gusts, but still strong. Still snow on 60% the front 300 ft of my yard, which is hilly. the back area (600 ft?) flat parts are 95% melted, but the inclined areas are still 80% snowy. |

At 9:30am it was grey outside; mist hid the mountains from me, as well as 1/2 covering things 300 ft. away, from me; 30 degrees. At 10:10am, no longer fog hiding the nearby house. At 11:15am greyish blue outside; mist on top of mtns., can see them now. And 34 degrees. At 5pm, there were wet splots on the deck, a few inches wide with irregular edges, and I think I saw a couple of snowflakes. It was 32 degrees and the fog was back, about 300 ft from me. At 6pm the fog had reached my front door, and the deck was dry. At 11:39pm I heard strong wind gusts, crazy sounding, like things were being thrown about (but werent). Dry outside, no fog. At 1:20am same thing, but the wind was a lighter and not as often; 31 degrees. Next morning at 8:50am it was 30 degrees; pure blue sky; wind around 10mph. About 10-20% of the snow is still left, mainly in shady steeper places. |

After a gusty night, at 10:15am I looked out and it was quiet, sun gone and dark out, and 37 degrees. At 10am it snowed - lots /heavy downfall but tiny flakes. At 10:20am the deck was covered. At 11am it stopped, but still, a trace fell during the day. The snow melted quickly, and there was a breeze. During the day, I looked outside every hour or two and there were tiny flakes floating down slowly and sparsely, but not accumulating. |

About another 1.5 inches were added to the existing 1.5 inches of light snow that had fallen either overnight or in morning, and continued all day long -- very light snowfall (looked out at 6pm, still snowing lightly). It briefly stopped in the evening (noticed that at 9pm). Looked out at 1am and light snowing. //Even overnight (the next day) there was a light layer, about 1/8". //At 10:30am it was 11 degrees; dropped to 8 degrees at 4:15pm. At 9pm it was 5 degrees. Well we didnt get the big winds that most of the mountains and Denver got. There were gusts, with periods of quiet, at about 20-30mph range. At 10:30am it was 37 degrees. Strong wind gusts all day from about 12noon? to 4pm? and into the night. From about 4-7pm it was approx. 70mph gusts, almost steady (constant but with pushes of wind, going faster and slower). It kept blowing he aluminum door our of my hand as I was carrying things inside. Lasted a few hours. During the night it was less frequent, and almost unnoticeable after about 11pm. // The temperature at 5pm was 47 degrees. At 10:45pm it was 39 degrees, and no strong winds. Went into the low 20's in early morning hours, and stayed there into daylight morning. Snowed in the morning, some time around sunrise I think. After the snowfall was done, during the morning, some flakes were floating around in the air, and I guess would eventually make it to the ground! |

I went outside to move things around so they wouldnt blow away, and I could hardly push my front screen door open; that has never happened before, even in the 70mph that we usually get on strong wind days. At 1:30pm it was 52 degrees. Around noontime, I noticed that the gravel driveway was finally almost all melted, maybe 75%. A mild day, with only a jacket needed; good for working outside a bit. At 9:45am it was 11 degrees, and 9" of snow left. At 1:45pm I tried to get the temp and I think it was 34, and in the sun 42 degrees, and 7.5" left of snow. The sky was DEEP blue. It doesnt seem to be melting the snow; no drips or puddles; but the snow is hardened. I havent seen such deep blue in a long time. That night at 12am it was 2 degrees. next morning 9:45am, it was 18 degrees, and sunny and blue sky again! Did not feel "the chill" as much when I went outside briefly. |

At 9:40am it was 38 degrees. The sky would be blue with light white clouds all day - no sign of the impeding snow storm. At 1:30pm it was 70 IN THE SUN. The snow is melting, but still covers 80-90% of the ground; it is 2 to 3 inches in depth; and some open places are ice, where the snow partially melted. At 7pm it was 45 degrees. At 12:10am midnight it was 39 degrees! wow. The deck was wet from a recent rain; and it must have blown in from the east, as it was wet right up to the side of my house, which never happens (I have a big overhang).// Next morning it was a hard to tell if it was raining or snowing, but it was white! the deck had a layer of slush about 3/4" to 1" in depth. The gauge had mostly water, but a couple of pieces of slushy-snow floating in it. It was big snowflakes coming down and lots of it. I cant put down "new snow" because it was slush. but I will put "trace" because it was definitely snow falling. |

At 9:30am it was 30 degrees, and wind gusts. At 12pm noon there was 1" of snow. The wind is blowing strong from all directions and has blown snow up against my house wall (east & west). I have a very big overhang and snow never blows up to the edge of my house. about a 2" drift. Sky grey. At 1pm still snowing - all day - it would sometimes slow down to almost nothing and then pick up heavy again. At 4:30pm snow stopped. Cant see more than 1 mile; At 5:30pm it was 26 degrees and snowing, but still windy. At 9pm it was 22 degrees; no new snow; wind gusts in 30mph range; not snowing. Gust all evening after dark, but must have slowed down after 1am as it didnt keep me awake. At 12:30am midnight it was 24 degrees (& gusts). Next morning at 8:30am it was overcast and gloomy and 23 degrees. There was 3.5 inches of snow in my gauge cylinder, and .47 water. // At 5:30pm when it stopped snowing (at 4:30pm) I measured a core and got 1-3/4" of snow = .18. In the morning, the spot only had a thin layer of hard ice, and no snow on it, so no new core measurement.// The total snow recorded is mainly the left over old snow, as most (not all) of the new snow was blown around and gone. |

Wow! that was weird! snow and hail and graupel and slush and globs dropping off the tree limbs! ===over a 2 hour period == Started with thunder at 4pm, then at 4:30pm slushy snow with tiny hail, or maybe it was grapel; and 39 degrees. At 5pm it slowed down, and globs of wet snow were falling from the trees. It was like slush on the ground. At 5:20pm thunder, I mostly could not see the mountains a mile away. At 6:20pm big snowflakes; I could now see the mtns., with just whiffs of clouds across the mountains. Then approx. 6:25pm flakes got smaller. And, at 6:35pm it stopped. I went out and took the precipitation measurement which was .39 =and in the morning there was another .01 which was probably left over from the day before, but equals .40. The "wet snow" or slush was about 1 inch. it was almost all melted away even at midnight; just really wet, not piles of slush or ice. // Starting from the beginning: 3/23/19 it was 37 and grey at 9am. At 3pm it was grey to the north. Then the 4pm thunder happened, and all the rest is stated above. // Was in the 30s into the night and morning. At 9:30am 90% had melted and disappeared. There were some puddles on the front deck, and in the dark portion some partially frozen puddles. It was weird to see the 1+ inches of slush disappear like that! |

At 9pm it was 37 degrees. Some time around 8pm fog rolled in, and you could hardly see 20 feet in front of you, including on the highway, with cars driving about 20mph. At 8:40am it was 36 degrees and overcast. not snowing. no wind. The 1/2" of snow that was on the deck was melting on the bottom, very thin slush. I was gone most of the day. When I got back at 5:30pm, there was either 5 or 10 inches of snow on the ground depending on where you measured. by my car near the road was 10 and near by house was 5; it seemed to be in uneven layers. The main highway about 1/2 mile away was deep in slush and freezing. The boughs of the trees were heavy with wet snow and were bending down, some touching the ground. It was still snowing, but would soon stop, and only an inch would accumulate after that, overnight. I saw at 6:45pm it was not snowing and again at 1am. At 1:10am it was 21 degrees. Well it is VERY rare for my cylinder (not the gauge tube) to fill up to the top, and even more rare for the melted snow to almost equal height/marking on the gauge/tube (almost 1") = .73 in precipitation! -- as you know it is more normal for the amount of melted snow to be much less than the inches of actual snow. // that being said, there were several times the snow stopped, and restarted. First, at 10:15am was the first snow fall - it snowed for THREE hours and yet only 3/4" in accumulation, so it was melting as it sat on the warm ground - due to the day before being around 70 degrees! So the height of snow would have been much higher than what I am reporting if it had not been so warm the day before. The next TOTAL depth when the snow stopped was 5", then 7" (meaning 2" more), then 9" at about midnight, and then 5" overnight! So that adds up to 14 inches. But it was very light snow and it settled in the morning, and the total snow at observation time was 8 inches. // Now, getting back to the exact times the snow fell etc. = At 9:45am it was 29 degrees, no snow. At 10:15am it started snowing until about 1pm, with just under 1" of snow on the ground. At 3pm (and these 2 are very close times, not "rounding off numbers") it started again and it got darker. It stopped again around 4pm, and restarted as it got dark, maybe around 6pm?. At 12:20am it was 28 degrees, and 9 inches on the ground and snowing. Next morning at 9:30am it was 33 degrees and 5 inches of new snow had fallen. It was not snowing; light grey sky. |

At 10:30am it was 42 degrees. At 12 noon it started to rain, and at about 1pm it turned into snow; then back to rain, then snowy-slushy-drops rained down, then tiny hard pellets, then rain. That was about 1:30pm. It was on and off rest of day, but mostly rain. At 6:30pm the snow finally started sticking, instead of melted into the warm ground. It even covered the tree branches. it was 34 degrees. At that point I measured the WATER in the tube/gauge from all the RAIN. I emptied it=.39 water. I left the slush and new snow in it and it was .40 in the morning at 8am. Measuring the actual snow - the bottom 1/4" was now hard slush, and the total height was 2.-1/4".// At 12:30am midnight it was 32 degrees and snowing. At 8am it was 30 degrees and snowing very lightly. |

Snowed all day, but not much new accumulation, as the ground was so warm. Deck was wet, but snow shrank only a little bit, and remained through the next morning. At 8am it was 32 degrees; at 1pm 40 degrees. At 123:30am midnight it was 33 degrees, so might not go below freezing as they predicted for my area. Next morning at 9;30am it was 46 degrees - not snowing or raining - grey sky. OK I made a very long hail report. -- so I will not repeat that here. Short comments: The hail hit both sides of my house, despite a big overhang-roof. It was a single layer of pea-size white hail. == total rain and melted hail=.73. There was a rapid riverlet running down my driveway and alongside my house for most of the event. There was no torn greenery on my deck and splattered bits of dirt on the bottom of the house. // Despite it being 60-70 degrees, the hail did not melt right away, but stayed there while the rain came down heavy. NOTE: At 2pm it had been sunny and 79 degrees.// TIME SCHEDULE: Around 4pm, thunder, constant; at 4:38pm a few big drops of rain; 4:49pm hail; 4:40 deck is white with single layer of hail; 4:43 rain restart heavy; 4:47 hail; 4:51 hail; 4:54 more rain than hail, heavy; 4:55 sun peek out, solid thunder came back; 5:02 thunder stopped; no rain or hail. ====== RAIN REPORT: Rain started at 4:39pm, and you can see the times above until 4:45pm when the sun peeked out a little, and the hail stopped. Here is a continuation: At 5:02pm the rain had stopped; but there was a solid ongoing thunder back. At 5:20pm there was distant thunder. At 5:30pm the thunder got closer again; few seconds in between (the sound); 5:32pm heavy rain; strong smell of pine;6pm rolling thunder, near and far; light rain; 630pm, heavy rain; light thunder, on and off; still no hail. At 7pm no rain; at 7;12 heavy rain; at 7:43pm no rain.// I believe I heard it rain periodically during the night, but did not mark that down. So I dont know when it totally topped. The forecast was for a cool day - the coolest in a few weeks, so I went out and did gardening all day (cut tall grass and weeds). And watered plants close to dusk. I was hot but not a lot of sweating. At 12 noon it was 65 degrees. I think it got to around 70 in temp. Saw a rain cloud overhead when I stopped at the end of the day to relax on my deck, but it left with no droplets. |

It was a hot day, and I stayed inside, and kept the windows closed, and it was fine (not sweaty... unless I did some housework!) A sunny day. At 4:30pm it was 88 degrees. I opened the windows at night and used fans to cool off the house in anticipation of another hot day. a breeze. I wish it would rain as I have to go out and water my plants every approx. 3 days. |

At 11am it was 86 degrees already! I stayed inside with closed doors and windows and felt just fine (no sweating). At 5:45pm it was 89 degrees. Really hot for us, but not as hot as the 100 degrees in the big city! No rain in sight. some mild wind at night. |

We had some...what's it called, oh, yea, RAIN! Last time was a MONTH ago, Aug. 8th! Day started out overcast and got darker around 2pm, when it was 74 degrees. At 2:10pm I heard one thunder. At 2:30pm it was 69 degrees, and a short light rain. At 3:15pm another light rain, and at 3:30pm another one, totalling .03 in the gauge. A heavy rain next; at 7:40pm it was 60 degrees and felt cold; this time it measured .06 in gauge. It rained in the evening and thunder. There was a light wind and heavier rain, at 10:56pm. Some rain overnight and in morning there was another .09 in gauge. |

the day was warmer than they predicted. I dressed wrong from a couple of things I had to go to during the day and was sweating! They are still saying the rest of the week will be about 80, more or less, but I dont know if I should believe them! Some dark and cloudy skies but no rain. |

It was a cold day, and mostly overcast. At 2:30pm it was 65 degrees. Rain began at 4:10pm. I left after that and when I came home about 7pm, I could see that it had rained hard because it pounded the garage door and leaked inside. The gauge had .22 water in it. It was not raining for the rest of the evening. At midnight I checked the gauge to make sure I didn't miss anything, and zero. The next morning there was .15 in the gauge, and everything was soaked, but drying. Blue skies, and in the 60s again. |

It rained in early afternoon = .04 in gauge at 4pm,and had stopped raining. More rain started around 5pm. At 9:30pm it was 60 degrees and I noticed strong winds, in the 30-40mph range. At about 10:30pm it got noisy, with gusts around 60 mph. At midnight it was quieter, but when I went outside it was still very windy = but not enough to keep me awake.
