Very cool lower cloud deck mixing from area gust fronts and boundaries clashing when at one point storms completely surrounded like a donut. Gauge measured 0.65" for 24hr total. AM line of showers/Tstrms moving in from WNW clipped area with northern decaying edge with heavy precip moving southeast. Afternoon strong storms again amazingly missed immediate area in all directions at some point. Total precip only 0.11" for the 24hrs with 0.10" falling in the AM line that clipped. AM blue sky during gauge reading. Forecast for drier air with hot temps settling in for next 4-5 days. Side note...it's incredible how little rain fall totals measured for the past week with such high rain chances and abundant storms every day in surrounding areas that produced very heavy rain fall totals at other surrounding stations. |
