Late observation: Snowing at time of OBS. Snow started in the late evening and continued throughout the night. With the wind from the East, my evergreen tree line blocked a significant amount of the collection in the gauge and my snowboard on the porch. Snow on porch measured 3.1 inches while snow on the front yard recorded 6.1 inches of new snow. Strong winds and gusting from the NE may influence snow measurements both at the gauge and in front yeard. |
