The trees and everything has a coating of ice, branches are hanging heavy, some of my windows are frosted over. Ice coating on bushes outside my windows look to have a 3/8 coating, the sun shining thru the trees is like diamonds and beautiful. Driveway and sidewalks coated with very slippery ice. Light mist fell yesterday and in the evening light rain which I could see freezing when it hit the windows. |

Temp 29 degrees, wind calm, sky sunny and clear. Yesterday storm started at 7:30 with rainfall, at 9:30 was mixed with snow flakes which soon evolved into heavy snow. The snow lasted all day was still snowing lighter at dark. At 1:30 PM was 33 degrees and 1.6" measurable snow. At 7 PM snow was 3.1 inches. Don't have accurate total snow measure as there was several hours of melting when it hit the ground when it started. A guess is 5 or more inches total. Trees and bushes are covered with snow and beautiful, but worried about freezing damage. |

Gauge read at 8:30 as severe thunderstorm was going over area. By 7AM was having torrential rains and winds 40-50 MPH gusting, and lots of lightning. Also had severe warnings in counties above and below us. Electricity was off for 15 minutes. |

Was woke after 1 AM this morning by NOAA radio with a severe storm warning to the north, saw sharp lightning, then another warning came not too long after, going west about 15 miles north of us. |
