10/8/2018 5:00 AM 0.03 M M M M Questionable if it's actually precip, as it was drizzle that can be felt on the skin. Nothing showed on the Northeast Sector region NWS radar, Nor KENX composite radar. Not foggy at the time. No snow to report, one firefly left. No birds heard or seen. Squirrel made a dash to a tree. That's it.
10/9/2018 4:00 AM 0.01 M M M M Difficult to decypher. Fog/mist/drizzle. Nothing's showing up on the non-precip radar. One never knows where drizzle's coming from.

10/12/2018 4:00 AM 0.77 M M M M Not really a bad rain event. It was spread out, and not heavy. I'd elect another event like this one.
10/13/2018 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Leaves have gotten underway of changing colour and dropping fast. Nap time for the trees.
10/14/2018 5:00 AM 0.17 M M M M 5 minute sprinkles came through. Nothing big came through.
10/15/2018 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Mental note....empty the gauge. Note taken
10/16/2018 5:00 AM 0.37 M M M M Note to be made, the last .07" was evening showers, several hours(7PM wind set in at midnight. You MIGHT consider more than precipretaion in your reports, as other factors also are in play. Precipretation alone really give no information for what else was going on at the time of the event. Precip alone, is useless.

7/2/2019 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Around 2:30 AM I came in from checking the temperature. I felt something moving inside my t-shirt. I opened the bottom and shook it and a bug fell out. I switched on the light, and proceeded to step on it lightly , like Puss Puss does with a hornet. It looked like beetle, but still moved, so repeated said tapping with the foot. After it was squished, I looked closely. It was a cricket, a small one. I thought it was a firefly at first, but it never lit up. It worked out well. As anyone that's had ONE cricket in the house will verify, YOU'LL NEVER SLEEP. Sad news for said cricket,as well as myself, BUT I'll be able to sleep in peace, so all worked out as it should. Puss Puss is on a mission in my bedroom to catch the moth, so not expecting much snoozing time until mission complete.

Got to 89.8°F, humidity's on the way up. I'll take the snow.

Firefly population has dwindled to near none. Luna Moth never returned. So far the deer have not dined on the tiger lilies....so far, won't be long. My sister was throwing carrots for the rabbit, in the dark, and managed to successfully hit said rabbit, 2 hummingbird feeders, and an animal that made a noise I have never heard before. All's well (normal) in the Granite State.

7/14/2019 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M First time I've saw a real life gray fox happened Saturday. I've been seeing s fast moving critter, in the dark for a few days before. Saturday night, just as darkness set it, it walked fast to the neighbours yard, then up turkey hill, then came out of the woods under the hummingbird feeders, went 15 feet behind me sniffing the ground, (checking if I was going to see I was going to cause any harm), and carried on. Beautiful creature. It's been around for a while, hope he continues to visit.

9/18/2019 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Hummingbirds have departed. I had a Tiger-Swallow Butterfly land on my shirt sleeve yesterday. Surprisingly heavy it was, Thought it'd bust my arm. Tan and black. I let it roam about on my sleeve. Had a very long probosis. I was surprised it was here as the people from the neighbourhood are stopping on the side of the road and swiping the milkweed so they don't need to get off their fat backsides to see said butterfly. Odd they send the kid to get said milkweed, rather than take the chance to topple over doing it themselves.Sounds like slavery. Just my thoughts.
9/19/2019 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Been 2 days, no hummingbirds spotted. A rather rotund robin was seen. Or should I say Full Figured robin? Who knows language is being changed on a daily basis. Nuts to that. 2 barred owls heard, crows are somewhat in the area, rabbit, and loads of chickadees, with the woodpecker in tow. Odd bit that is. Honey bees are busy on what sugar is left in the hummingbird feeders. Fly-swatter is nearby. Grasshoppers, glad you asked, we had 4 looking for places for the eggs...we're down to one grass-hopper. I'm thinking an early winter, and a cold winter. I could be wrong, as it's happened before. CIAO!
9/20/2019 5:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Loads of chickadees, and the woodpecker that follows them. Someone's Siamese cat was at the end of our driveway, in "launch mode". The plump robin it was seeking, realized something was not right and took flight to the tree above. Defeated, the Siamese (Sealpoint) wandered off down the drainage ditch the neighbor insisted be dug. So all went well, cat continued on it's way, robin went to the tree perfectly safe unscathed. Life is good in nature...so far....stay tuned for further updates. I'm waiting for the winter mosquito, but it's too early. Here, I ask this: Why do we not have mosquitoes in the summer, but winter we do, how's that happen?
