Blizzard in progress! Very strong east winds, snow and blowing snow, temp 17 degrees at 7 a.m., now only 18. Where I could measure undisturbed snow levels, I get about 4 1/2 inches.including in gauge, with its melted water content at 0.45 inch. We have a two-foot drift at a door on west side of house. East side is almost clear due to the strong east winds. Very dramatic. Bitter cold when venture outside. |
