12/9/2018 9:00 AM 0.25 M M 3.3 0.25 Yesterday morning we had a light mist that ended up being a light freezing mist, then light snow flurries. It did not last long enough nor drop enough to even cover the grass or make the sidewalks/streets slick. It melted quickly once it stopped. Nothing at 0600 and this happened about 0700-0730 or so. The temps were around 33 or 34, then dropped to 32-33 and the big snowflakes started, I forget the time, but lasted until about 4:00 pm leaving a nice 3.3-inch covering. By the time it stopped the temps were back up around 34 and it was quickly melting on roadways and sidewalks. By the time we came out of hospital Christmas party about 10:00 pm most had melted on the grass, shrubs, and trees. This morning only a few snow spots were left. There was 0.25 of water in my rain gauge.

Total in the last 24 hours arriving in multiple storms totals 4.58 Lots of street flooding across town, high winds ranging from 48 at my house to another spotters house on the east side of town over 61mph, no hail reported, just wind and rain. Flood waters seemed to drain well between storms other than typical flooding low spots around town. Lost power all over town, so my wx station went down too, no hourly records due to that.

We had sleet, a little freezing rain, off and on until at least 3:30 a.m. Sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. snow started. I measured my usual spot away from buildings at 9:00 a.m. and the yardstick had 3 inches deep snow.

Let's make this a multi-day as it is a mess. I measured 3.0 inches of snow at my reporting time on Wednesday, Jan 2, it continued to snow, sleet and rain over the next roughly 9+ hours, melting some of the snow on the ground making further accurate recording no good. When I was able to get the manual rain gauge unfrozen to dump it, the snow, sleet and rain in it melted to a good 1.10 inches over Wednesday and Thursday. No further accumulation after that stopped Wednesday night.
