There was at least 1 shower around 0300 hrs. Yesterday: Periodic showers as cells moved over the station area. One cell overhead between about 1145 hrs until 1215 hrs was particularly strong with a 2 minute downpour of the hardest rainfall I can remember seeing in the Willamette Valley. I literally could not see across my backyard. No wind, no lightning, just rain.

Depth of snow in the yard varies from 1 inch or so under the large deciduous trees to perhaps a much as 8 inches in some spots.) Yesterday: Steady moderately heavy rain in the morning changing to rain and snow mix at 1215 hrs. Rain/snow mix continued until around 1600 hrs. with very little accumulation, but then temp began to drop to around 34 degrees and snow began to accumulate. There was 3 or 4 inches of snow by 2130 hrs. and it was still snowing heavily. Think it must have snowed all night. Sorry to be so late filing this but it takes time to melt the snow in big tube and do the core melt from the snowboard. Also had to make sure my feathered friends could find food.

Yesterday: Clear, sunny and warm with mostly northerly light to gentle breezes. There was a big buildup of cumulonimbus clouds along and east of the Cascade crest beginning about 1430 or 1500 hrs. It appeared that higher elevation wind shear was effecting the cloud development dispersing the cloud tops before they could "anvil out". High temp at this station was in the low 90's.

Yesterday: Partly cloudy a.m. with increasing clouds through afternoon becoming ovc st/cu and cu by 1600 hrs. About 3 minutes of light mist at 1700 hrs. Would not have noticed were I not outdoors at the time. High temp yesterday in the low 70's.

Yesterday: Broken to scattered clouds all day with light southerly winds early switching to northerly winds by early evening. Showers began at 1900 hrs. on 27th and continued through the night. Hard shower at 0200 hrs and also at 0500 hrs on the 28th.

Yesterday: Variable cloud cover increasing in late afternoon with an intermittent northerly breeze. Shower began about 1700 hrs. and ended about 1745 hrs. Do not think there were additional showers during evening or overnight as street was dry each time I checked after 1900 hrs.

Yesterday: Variable cloud cover increasing in late afternoon; variable intermittent light breezes becoming becoming northerly in late afternoon. Showers between 1900 hrs. and 2100 hrs. High temp in the upper 50's. Monthly precip. total for this station was 5.39". That's the wettest September at this station since station activated in January, 2008. Water year total = 39.43"

Yesterday: OVC; mostly calm to light air. Damp but warmer than previous couple of days. Occasional light sprinkles of rain - just a few small drops on the windshield - beginning around 0930 hrs. and continuing through the day until around 1630 hrs. Rain/drizzle was heavy enough to warrant running the windshield wipers in the area about 2 miles ESE of this location at 1000 hrs.

Suspect most of the recorded precip. fell on the 22nd. as it was raining when I left around 0930 on that day and had been raining for about 1/2 hr. Some ares of Portland metro area had squalls with heavy rain and hail during the late afternoon of the 23rd. and other areas had some showers that morning so it is possible that Eugene/Springfield area may have had some precip. on the 23rd. as well. No precip. this station since I returned home at 1230 hrs. on the 24th.

On 6/7/19 trip to Black Butte Resort: Left Springfield at 1010 hrs. with intermittent light drizzle which continued to a point between Leaburg and Vida encountered periodic heavy downpours. This condition continued to a point a few miles west of McKenzie Bridge. From McKenzie Bridge to Hwy 126 - U.S. 20 periodic rain showers. From U.S. 22 - U.S. 20 junction to the E side of Santiam Pass was steady rain with rain and snow mix at the summit. Partly cloudy with sun and moderate cold breeze at Black Butte Resort. Light showers that afternoon and evening. Sunny on 6/9/19 with afternoon temp around 70.
