band of heavy showers and thunderstorms passed through mid-afternoon, then another band in the evening. We only got 0.02 in from the first band here in Exeter, but I was in Wakefield at the time and noted very heavy rain and thunder there. Around 4 PM, I was walking on Narragansett beach just after the storms had passed by, and observed (and photographed) a waterspout out over the bay to the northeast of the beach. Most of our rain here fell during the evening storms. |
