Rain occurred in three waves yesterday and last night. Rain began with the first round of storms at 3:10 pm and lasted until 3:50 leaving 0.34". The storm had wind and heavy rain for about 10 minutes, with no noticeable hail.
The second round of storms moved in as a squall line from the west at 9:25 pm with light sprinkles. Heavier rain and wind began at 9:30. Heavy rain began at 9:34 pm. Our Dish satellite reception was affected at 9:35 for several minutes. Light to moderate rain continued. A wave of heavy rain with wind hit at 10:05 for a few minutes. Second wave rain stopped at 10:15 pm after dropping an additional 0.48 with some small hail.
The third wave occurred from dissipating rotating storms that formed north of Vega and Adrian after the squall line moved through. Fortunately these storms lost their strength and rotation as they approached our location between 12:30 and 1:30 am. We received only 0.21 from those storms after midnight. |
